Additional Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna Information

The DB4 has become our most popular model because it is simply the best Mid Range HDTV antenna on the market. With an approximate 13.7 dB gain, it is one of the strongest multi-directional antennas available and performs consistently across the entire UHF spectrum. It even works well in areas where HD transmitters are in multiple directions.

What Customers Say About Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna:

Not even close.I wish I had never bought this antenna and had just left what I had up there alone. I am only getting 6 channels with this high tech alumunum beer can.

Very flimsy product that is made in Taiwan and has about 10 bucks worth of metal in it. Not much.

With the Radio Shack antenna I was getting only 8 channels after the digital switch.but now. A classic case of importing something that costs next to nothing and fleecing the American public.

I took down my old Radio Shack antenna I bought over 16 years ago to upgrade to this antenna. I am about 30-40 miles from Philadelphia so I had high hopes that this would improve my reception situation.

What a waste.

I was unable to receive the UNC public television channels, and would likely need to purchase another antenna, a signal combiner, and mount the second antenna higher up in the house pointing toward the signal from Chapel Hill (which is coming from roughly the NW direction). My technophile friend who advised me on this gift purchase recommended the DB8, but I chose this model, as it is still small enough to be a convenient indoor antenna. This is just about the opposite direction from the major networks' signals, but they all receive perfectly except for channels 5.1 and 22.1, which have minor blockiness.

They are south of Garner, but still in Raleigh. After the digital switch, they lost reception of Univision & Ion, and they've always received blocky reception using a run-of-the-mill indoor antenna.

I bought my stepfather one of these for Father's Day and set it up at my parents' house yesterday. 230 degrees (or roughly southwest) to accommodate the Univision signal [check out antennaweb.org for compass directions].

With the DB4, my parents can watch Univision crisply and clearly, as well as receiving all of the other channels much better than before. I have the antenna pointing approx.

This quality of reception is all from the ground floor (indoors) of a multi-story house, with trees and a hill in the way. Perhaps the DB8 would have a better time at picking up the signal from UNC TV.

With the switch to digital I figured it was time to get a good antenna that would receive the new digital siginals and not break the bank. I'm even receiving one channel that is 75 miles directly behind the direction the antenna is facing. Hooked up the new cable to the antenna and TV. This one is being used with a small TV in my workshop. Something to watch the news and weather while getting ready.Out of the box the antenna only took a couple of minutes to assemble. I took down the old clunker antenna and used the existing chimney mount for the new antenna mounted on a 10' mast. Our 30 year old antenna was on it's last leg and needed replacing. Edited 6-29-2009I just put up my second DB4 within a week.

I was not able to mount it as high therefore I'm not able to receive quite as many channels as the first one but I still get all the major networks plus PBS channels. All channels are crystal clear and HD looks as good or better than my main TV that is hooked to AT&T U-Verse fiber optic.I'm going to order another one to hook up to another little TV in my workshop.I highly recommend this antenna. They are all crystal clear. All the towers were within a few degrees of each other so I just split the difference. The antenna is connected to just one little TV on a dresser where my wife gets ready for work. What can I say.

I did use "antenna point" to locate my local TV towers and a compass to point the antenna toward the towers. I'm now receiving signals from anywhere between 13 to 95 miles and receiving 30 channels. It is about as good as the first one with 18 channels being pulled in. Now I can watch news and sports while I'm working at the reloading bench.

We had a terk antenna before. I dnt think this is really working for us but couldn't return it as we crossed the 30 day period. We bought this one after reading the review online. Terk was doing a better job. for the money we spent on this, we are not really getting as many channels as we should.

After much research this antenna was un able to recieve the 2 digital channels it was supposed to according to antennaweb.org. Nor can it find any other channels. Am returning it and am going to read more.
